Model A - 3.5m x 4m
This is one of the smaller extension types. Its the perfect size to create an open plan sunroom, leading off the kitchen/dining area and adding that extra seating space.
Model A - 3.5m x 5m
This is the most popular extension size. With an added structural opening it can create a larger open plan kitchen area, and a comfortable sitting and dining area thats opens out to the garden.
Model A - 3.5m x 6m
This is a spacious 24sqm extension. With the option for a smaller structural opening, or the full length, for the open plan feel, letting in all the light of the surrounding garden.
Model B - 3.5m x 4m
This is the perfect size for a sunroom, with views out to the garden.
Model B - 3.5m x 5m
The 3.5m x 5m is a spacious sitting and dining area, and with sliding or bi-folding doors creates and inside/outside dining area.
Model B - 3.5m x 6m
This is a slightly larger extension that can create an excellent & enviable open plan kitchen/living/dining area.
What's Included
Our experienced Architects will guide you through the process and deal with all the relevant applications. Some extensions are Permitted development so no planning is required, however all extensions will require a Building Warrant.
Where possible we use Ground Screws for foundations. This is a more sustainable approach by omitting the requirement for concrete.

The high quality Aluminium door options are sliding, swing or bi-fold. The aluminium frames are thermally broken which omits the risk of cold bridging. This makes your home warm and draft free.
There are a range of external finishes that you can choose to make your extension unique, from the range of metal cladding, composite cladding, and smooth renders to the more characteristic timber cladding.
Your extension comes finished with plasterboard and painted white internally.

We love our dab den, which was bespoke for a very awkward space in our garden. It totally maximises the wasted area we previously had and has given us a beautiful home office/design studio which is used every day. It is light, bright and airy with glass frontage and skylights; we are even able to partition areas off inside for privacy with frosted glass bi-folding doors...money well spent.
The underfloor heating also means that it is an extremely comfortable environment, even with the cold east winds in an Edinburgh winter! I would have no hesitation in recommending Dab Den for anyone looking for creative ways to extend their living/working space.

The result is a wonderful 'Sitooterie' which we very much enjoy all year round - glad we specified the heated floor and the size and space afforded is excellent.
